Slingshot's high-performance kids' wakeboard with the Atomic Wood Core and a softer flex that lightweight riders can easily press and control.
The future of wakeboarding is bright and trending younger and younger each season. For this reason, we've built the Space Grom wakeboard to be the highest performance board for kids ever made. The Space Grom is built with our lively Atomic Wood Core and a softer flex that lightweight riders can manipulate with ease, so they can ride with the same style and agility (if not more) than their elder mentors.
Key Features
EZ Flex
The Space Grom is one of the softer feeling wakeboards in our lineup making it easy to press, great for butters, and ultimately giving you the most board feel under your feet.
Build To Shred
Unlike other grom boards, the Space Grom is built with the same technology as our advanced shredding machines. No shortcuts, no compromises. Designed to be ridden like the big kids, the Space Grom delivers real performance for young riders who are ready to charge, progress, and throw down from day one.
Swing Weight
The lightweight construction of this board allows you to whip it around however you feel, whenever you feel it. Whether it's grabs, spins, rail taps, or shiftys, this board moves with no lag.
Tech Features
Continuous Rocker
This continuous curve equates to faster board speed on the water, allowing you to ride for longer periods of time with less arm fatigue and delivering an exciting, fast, and fun feel.
Ballistic Base
With .7 mm of bulletproof protection between your board and the surfaces you're sliding across, this base layer is ready for battle. Put to the test daily by some of the most daring park riders in the game.
Chined Rails
The toe and heel edges of the board are raised up approximately 4-5 mm, creating a small buffer zone between the edges of your board and uneven rail surfaces to help protect your edges.
Atomic Wood Core
Vertically laminated wood core construction is what gives Slingshot boards their signature flex performance. It's lightweight and durable, delivering superior pop, rebound, and that overall magical feeling in the park.
Carbon Bedrock Inserts
Light, flexible, and super strong, our Carbon Bedrock Inserts reduce overall board weight, increase pull strength, and allow for a more consistent flex under foot.
Singleshot Fusion Sidewalls
Our innovative manufacturing process produces unrivaled dampening and durability by infusing the rail into the core of the board with a single shot, eliminating the need for fasteners or staples.

What board size is the right size for me?. If this is your first wakeboard as a Space Grom the 125 will be perfect for you (ages 2-5). The 130 is good for ages 6-9 and the 135 will fit age 9-13. After that it will be time to graduate to another board is our lineup.
What's the difference between having chined rails versus a flat bottom?. Chined rails make the board more forgiving for grinding rails and doing butters, but they make it harder to lock into a hard edge. A flat bottom provides better edge hold, optimizing speed, air tricks, and kickers, while chined rails optimize jibbing and butters and help prevent catching an edge during flat-ground tricks.
Benefits of having more or less flex?. A board with more flex offers better feel on park features and allows for easier nose and tail presses. A stiffer board is typically better for higher-energy riders hitting larger kickers and doing air tricks.
