There is also the new combination of a round tube in the front area (holding forces act obliquely downwards, so it is stiffer around here) and the OVAL TAIL SECTION (horizontal sail pull, thus the oval tube is stiffer here). This makes the entire SILVER around 30% stiffer. Together with the hardened front tube, this results in enormous stiffness and durability.

We are even prepared to offer a two-year unlimited warranty on all SILVER models – even on bending.
The 140 and 160 lengths consist of three segments and have a one-piece aluminium tail-end in addition to the iFRONT 2.0 front-end. Together with the RDM tubes at 28 mm, this creates the ideal combination of stiffness and comfort. The bend curve applies an even pull on the mast- and backhand.
The 180 length features a performance bend curve designed specifically for freeride sails and a 30 mm tube diameter to ensure maximum stiffness.
The high-density PROTECTION GRIP on the outside effectively prevents damage when rigging up.
The entire SILVER line is equipped with the brand-new VTS TAIL fitting. In combination with the 2022 Duotone sails, the VTS TAIL fitting offers for the first time a clear visual indication for the perfect outhaul tension (patent pending).
Best for last all SILVER booms now feature an unmatched 60cm XL extension range covering an even broader range of sail sizes.

Tech Features
iFRONT 2.0
THE LIGHTEST FRONT-END ON EARTH. COMBINES THE ADVANTAGES OF PREVIOUS CONCEPTS IN ONE FRONT-END: A VERTICAL STIFFNESS: Unlike other front-ends we use 50% longer stainless steel axle-bolts which are directly connected to the side walls.
PROTECTION GRIP INSERT
MORE RESISTANT. The high-density EVA grip insert at the outside guarantees maximum abrasion resistance during rigging.
OVAL TAIL SECTION
The tail section has similar influence on the overall boom stiffness as the front section, although the influence increases the further you extend the boom length.
VTS TAIL
Since 1992 all our sails feature VTS dots clearly showing the right downhaul tension. With the introduction of the VTS TAIL we have finally made the correct outhaul tension visible as well.
WIDE TAIL GEOMETRY
EQUAL LOAD ON BOTH HANDS AND IMPROVED HANDLING. Also the short booms now feature a 4 cm wider tail-end moving your back-hand further away from the sail.
2 YEAR UNCONDITIONAL WARRANTY
Light is right but only if it doesn't go to costs of durability. Durability as part of the DUOTONE quality has always been one of the defining characteristics of our products - and it stays that way.
