RE_Tractable Reel Leash w/ Calf Wrap
Attachment: Neoprene Calf Wrap · Weight: 100g
The RE_Tractable Reel Leash is an ultra-lightweight, retractable board leash engineered for wing foiling, parawinging, and downwind foiling. A precisely tuned internal spring — corrosion resistant and titanium PVD coated — spools 1.8 meters of Kevlar-reinforced webbing inside a compact housing, staying out of the way until a crash calls for separation. Rather than aggressively yanking the board back toward you, the spring tension is tuned to keep a safer distance between rider and equipment after a fall. This Calf Wrap configuration mounts the leash to the lower leg with an integrated neoprene wrap, minimizing exposed webbing and keeping the waist completely free — ideal when a waist harness is already in use.

Key Features

Anti Corrosion Mechanism
Built for harsh marine environments, the internal spring features a premium titanium PVD coating for exceptional corrosion resistance — engineered to deliver smooth, consistent retraction session after session, even in saltwater conditions.
Dual Stage Bungee Webbing Extension
The integrated dual stage shock system combines progressive bungee with a free-spinning swivel to absorb peak loads and eliminate line twists — for smoother tension, reduced shock, and complete freedom of movement during every crash and recovery.

Free-Spinning Stainless Steel Swivel
A dedicated stainless steel swivel sits inline with the webbing, spinning freely to release line twists as they build up — keeping the leash predictable and tangle-free through repeated crashes.
Integrated Neoprene Calf Wrap
The leash mounts to the lower leg with a low-profile neoprene wrap and adjustable strap, keeping webbing completely off the waist — ideal when a harness is already worn there. One universal size.

FAQs
What is the Ride Engine RE_Tractable Reel Leash?
A compact, lightweight board leash developed specifically for wing foiling, parawinging, and downwind foiling. Its retractable design stores the webbing inside the housing, reducing exposed material around the board and body.
How much does the RE_Tractable leash weigh?
Just 100 grams. Its compact profile is designed to stay unobtrusive and nonrestrictive — to the point you may forget you're wearing it during a session.
How long is the retractable webbing?
1.8 meters of spooled Kevlar-reinforced webbing. During a crash, it extends to create separation between the rider, board, foil, and inflatable equipment.
Why is creating separation during a crash important?
Moving the board and foil away from the body reduces unwanted contact during falls. The added separation also limits interaction between the board, foil, wing, or parawing — helping prevent canopy tears or bladder punctures.
Does the RE_Tractable automatically pull the board back toward the rider?
No. Spring tension is specifically tuned to keep the board at a safer distance after a crash rather than immediately pulling it back toward the body — retrieval happens through gentle, consistent pulling.
