Duotone Fuselage Aero AL 3BS
Item-no. 42240-3823 · Lengths: 60, 66, 74, 90cm · For AL, SLS & D/LAB masts and all SLS foils
Aluminium construction for a smaller cross section, less drag and more strength.
Building on the great feedback from the 60cm Alu 3BS fuselage, Duotone extended the improvements to longer fuselages — the 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS replace the previous carbon 68 and 78cm fuselages.

Changing the construction to aluminium allows a reduced cross section, which reduces the drag generated by the fuselage. At the same time strength increases, while weight goes up by only 2.5%.
All AL 3BS fuselages feature a small recess at the rear for the stabilizer to sink into, improving hydrodynamics, and big cut-outs at the front wing mount to keep weight to a minimum.
Aluminium fuselages need a bit more care: dismantle and rinse with fresh water after each use — the performance gain is worth it.
